Chibi Kaiju Toys Review by Bobby LePire.

A few years ago, Toys 'R Us got in a whole slate of new Godzilla themed toys. Large vinyls, articulated figures, models, bobbleheads, plushes, and the topic of today's look- Bandai's Godzilla Chibi Super Deformed Set. Now, can buy these seperately, but the whole set was $20, and you saved at least $10 by acquiring them that way.

Standing at about two inches tall each, the toys are the cutest you'll ever see these characters be, and are totally worth it for that alone. Seeing as how small they are, there isn't too much to really go over there; but I'll leave some comments below each group of pictures- front and side shot for each monster- on the things I like the most about each one.

**I am not much of a photographer, so bare the iffyness of the photos, thank you!**

My favorite thing about Destroyah here, is that even though he is much cuter than usual, he still looks like a vicious mofo. He's really the only one that has retained any hint of its original primal instincts, and that is pretty cool.

Gigan's short, squatty body that you see in the pictures above is hilarous! Gigan is rather slender, with his long limbs being a main attack. This discrepacy is quite amusing; happily, he is the only one to be so misrepresented (while still being recognizable).

Look at how freaking cute King Ghidorah is! This three-headed killing machine looks like the most adorable puppy ever, and I love it; I mean, they are chibi versions for a reason!

And now we have a look at Mechagodzilla. The etching detail to signify computer parts, joints, etc., is very impressive, especially for such a tiny action figure.

Mothra has always been my favorite looking kaiju, if just because she's so much more colorful and visually distinctive from any and all other kaiju. Bandai has done an excellent job of getting the bright colors and recognizable wing pattern just right.

Of course, Godzilla is the best of the figures! The textures of his scales are excellent, his eyes pop, his silver backplates standout nicely against the dark forest green of his body. The detailing of his tongue is a fun and adorable addition.

These toys are pretty nifty and cute, and I recommend them if you are a giant monster collector.
